Description
The Spyderco Byrd Harrier 2 Stainless is a practical pocket knife for daily use. The finger grooves in the handle give you a good grip on the knife. The 8cr13MoV steel blade can easily be opened with the comet-shaped hole. When opened the blade is locked by a decent and reliable back-lock. As an extra safety precaution this back-lock has been enhanced with a so-called Boye-dent; a crescent-shaped cut-out that makes sure the knife won’t close during heavy-duty use.
This knife feels unusually strong because of its robust steel scales. This knife is enhanced with a decent pocket clip you can attach in four different ways. It enables you to choose between a ‘tip-up’ or ‘tip-down’ carry and left and right-handed use.
Spyderco introduced the Byrd collection as a more affordable alternative for the famous, but often more expensive Spyderco knives. Byrd knives are made in China. Of course they adhere to Spyderco’s quality demands, and they are made with good quality designs and materials.
