Corrosion Resistant Blade

The knife blade is full tang, running from the tip to the pommel. The blade, crafted from Sleipner steel takes a wicked keen cutting edge, is easy to sharpen and is fairly rust and corrosion resistant. Boasting a jet black cerakote coating ANV really have created one hell of a durable fixed blade knife. The blade is 12.5cm long, comes with a high flat grind and terminates with a drop point swedge. In brief, it’s great for piercing, slicing and even batoning, it’ll get you out of a pinch in the wild. In reality, we find it excels in camping situations, in fact, it might just be our top pick!

It’s a tank?! The M73 Kontos

ANV designed the handle from micarta which offers a secure in hand grip. It is designed to be textured, grippy and comfortable as well as being warmer than steel when outside. What’s more – thanks to the hex screws, it can be removed, customized and replaced if required. As an extra bit of trivia, the finger guard is shaped the same way as the dome of a T-72 tank! What’s more, the pommel, or butt cap is made from an original pin from the tracks of that tank. A serious knife, and an awesome piece of history.

The first numbered edition of the M73 Kontos (which are not available to the public) were given to the members of the 73rd tank battalion. This is the closest to that original version you can get.
