This Gyutou deluxe Chef’s kitchen knife is hand made by Turwho from high grade Japanese VG-10 Damascus Steel, this is a professional kitchen knife. The blade is about as sharp as possible, a joy to prep food with, effortless cutting. The blades beautiful Damascus steel pattern is created by folding the steel over and over again, this knife has 67 layers of alternating steel. Turwho’s Gyutou (Chef’s Knife) is a versatile kitchen knife. It can be used for cutting meat, fish and vegetables, making it suitable for preparing Western cuisine.
The Japanese Chef’s Knife has a thin 2mm that is extremely tough, tempered to a hardness of HRC 60+2 (a very high rating). Japanese chef knives have a reputation for their lightweight and thin blade that maintains a long edge retention. The handle is made from a beautiful black G10, it is tripled riveted with a mosaic pin in the center. The handle is ergonomic and designed for precision cutting not just its stunning looks.
