Every so often, something actually incredible comes around. This unbelievable Anthropoid Knife from ANV is a simply stunning knife with design based on the famous Fairbairn Sykes pattern. With the original design being born in China it wasn’t until it was issued to British Commandos and the SAS that it really came into it’s own. That’s to say – near universal recognition. Despite the famous origins, ANV have taken an already special knife and turned it into a thing of blackout beauty. A knife that stands on it’s own from the design it’s based on. Very well done ANV!

Spear Point Anthropoid Knife

The Anthropoid knife is an epic example of a fixed blade that beyond anything else was designed to be looked at. The lines are sleek and sharp. In addition, ANV made it perfectly symmetrical with machining crafted to be lively and lightweight in your hand. It’s a collectors piece through and through. With every design choice made to ensure it looks absolutely incredible. Plus, the black DLC coating ensures it glides through your cuts and prevents any formation of rust or corrosion.

Elmax and the Anthropoid Knife

The blade is made from the popular super-steel, Elmax, and honed to a razor sharp edge. It’s double edged, and comes to a razor sharp point. A hollow groove down the centre ensures rigidity and adds to the overall appearance of the piece. At 19cm in the blade, it’s a larger knife, but comes perfectly balanced and absolutely gorgeous to look at. We also have the smaller version – the Kamba available if you would prefer a more compact version.

Blackout G10

The handle is made from black G10. 3D machined to fit perfectly in hand and match up with the original Fairbairn Sykes design. It’s exceptionally grippy, smooth and comfortable in hand. It includes fingers guards that will keep your fingers safe if you ever actually used it. It’s a fully capable tool, but we find knives like that are best as collection centerpieces. The pommel includes a glass breaker point and like most of ANV’s knives, the scales are removable and replaceable.

For safety, this knife comes with a black kydex sheath which will keep the blade safe in storage.
