The blade is full tang and sturdy. The handle has an excellent rubber grip ideal for wet conditions. I have purchased this product and its true about the weight,make sure you have a nice strong wrist before swinging at vegetation,nice and sharp out the box,very sturdy,it would be nice to have some grips dents in the rubber to help with grip as it’s all smooth,i don’t think you will find a better machete for this same full price,buy this as an heavy duty machete but also buy a light weight machete for light vegetation and use this for thick vegetation,i like the air holes as it helps reduce air friction when swinging,making it easier to swing,overall 8/10.

My wife bought me this amazing machete an it is awesome great sheath great blade sharp with black powder coat or sumut on the blade the handle is awesome rubber great grip will not be disappointed if you buy this beast love it thank you all at knife wearhouse can’t wait to get another gonna be getting the book of eli one next

Instantly balances well in the hand. It is well made very sharp out the box and the grip is superb. A good point too if piercing required. Can be quickly drawn and stowed single handedly from either hip due to clever split sheath with Velcro tab retainer. Pleasantly surprised at how good it is for price. Excellent service from Joe. Out all of my machetes this one had been and still is my favourite, I use it to cut thick grass and weeds and does a great job, good exercise too
